At last he has been crowned King at the age of over seventy. Charles the eternal deputy, who waited so patiently. One can but wonder whether he ever wanted to throw in the towel.

 

For those of us who are not destined for a path to Royalty, it’s about gaining more and more clarity about our own journey and to lead our life by alternating between action and reflection. The Philosopher Kirkegaard (1813-1855) said «Life is lived forwards but understood backwards.»

 

We need vigour as well a look into the rear view mirror. This helps us to gain understanding. Our life path is formed by observing. Taking a deeper look at life shows us that human biographies mirror cosmic laws, in particular the seven-year cycle. This rings bells with us as we remember losing our first set of teeth, starting school, reaching puberty and coming of age.

Then follow the years of apprenticeship and travel, the «rush-hour» of life. We enter the afternoon of our life. Autumn and winter give way to the renewed buds of Spring. The number seven is the number of change. It testifies to the fact that our life is subjected to constant transformation.
